Dear Wasteland Community,
It is with a heavy heart that we must inform you that Wasteland Rotterdam at the Maassilo on March 28 cannot take place. The municipality has not granted permission for this edition at this location.
In 2026—with a widely supported diversity agenda and Rotterdam profiling itself as a global city with an active creative and LGBTQ+ community—we had absolutely no reason to doubt the feasibility of this event. Note that this edition came about after the Maassilo actively approached us to bring Wasteland to Rotterdam, with the explicit expectation that there were no foreseeable obstacles. Nevertheless, permission was denied at a very late stage, forcing us to relocate.
After the devastating news, our team worked very hard to find a suitable alternative location. And we are now ready to announce that the event will be moved to the 11th of April at the location: Amaze at the Elementenstraat 25, Amsterdam. It's an unique venue where raw industrial character meets cutting-edge sound and immersive light design... a worthy location for a special Wasteland edition.
